When you were learning to walk, were you instantly up and running?
I'm betting not. I would bet that you fell down. Over and over and over again.
When you fall...you get back up. If you don't get back up then you're never going to learn.
You're never going to get to the place you are trying to go by sitting in the same spot where you fell down.
Whether your destination is getting that promotion, being a stay at home mom, getting a degree, starting a business, changing your body, changing your lifestyle, finding love or whatever your destination is, you're not going to get there if you stay down when you fall.
Get back up.
When you fall down you feel like you've failed. You feel defeated. You feel hopeless and like you're never going to get there.
But you will get there IF you keep trying. The path is a rocky one. Some rocks aren't stable and they wobble and move but you can keep going, trying different rocks, turning and sometimes you may have to take a step back to evaluate which way is going to get you wherever it is you want to go.
I've been there with wanting to change my body. I have wanted to lose weight and it's not been an easy path and it's hard and there are days I have wanted to quit and there are days I do quit. But I get back up.
I want a successful coaching business. I want to help people and be like the coaches who have helped guide me. I started down that path and I got lost. The different forks in the road got me lost and it got hard and I quit.
I'm getting back up.
It will be hard. I will fail. I will keep getting back up.
Anything you want in life is worth the work and worth fighting for.
"You will never know what it feels like to get to the end of this road if you don't stand back up RIGHT NOW and keep growing. We are not standing on a mountain top of successes. We are standing on a mountain built of failures. But we are standing on top of them instead of buried underneath them. Don't tell me you don't have it in you to want something more for your life. Don't tell me you have to give up because it's difficult." -Rachel Hollis
